Kids work independently readying and working on their words while I meet with small groups to do some guided reading. We read leveled books and talk about comprehension, spelling patterns, connections, and more!

Goodbyes are hard...again
Friday was one of our friends' last day at Eagle Heights before he moved to Ohio. We made cards for him and he read them all out loud to show how much he appreciated it. We'll miss him!

Independent math work
How great is it when kids can be responsible enough to work on their own and be productive and proactive? Love the vibe that's set up in my class!

Rock sorts
We worked as scientists today using screens to sort river rocks by size. Tomorrow we'll talk about the different sizes and what they're called.
Real life word search
We're studying words that have closed syllables...syllables that end in a consonant instead of a vowel...so the kids worked with a partner today to find words in the classroom that fit the bill.

Thank you paraprofessionals!
We started a poster today to hang up by Sr. Sullivan's desk saying thank you for everything he does for us. We are thanking everyone that helps us throughout the day because we couldn't do it without them!
